Quote by Boyd Warner, owner of Adventure Northwest, in their
brochure: This hunt I consider to be the 'toughest hunt' left
in North America and likely in the world. Mentally, physically
and invironmentally, you will be challenged to your limits.
First, Ken Wilson hunts white bear during March by dog team
out of Holman with guides Pat Ekpakuhak and Larry Olifie. Ken
gets his shot and downs a good bear on the ice between Banks
Island and Victoria Island.
Then in May, hunting with Titus Allooloo and three dog teams
out of Pond Inlet, Nick Trenke shoots an exceptional polar
bear in a spectacular continuous sequence that will make you
forget about the extreme cold and actually consider booking
this hunt.
Before Nick's hunt, Boyd describes his hunt for Nanuk and
the incredible role played by the dog teams and their mushers
as Boyd's bear is tracked throughout the night thanks to the
midnight sun.
